Holy Chef?

If you work 40+ hours a week, are a full-time student or wife (most likely a newlywed), need to efficiently maximize all of your resources (time, money, food, etc...), or just want to live better, love better, and eat better... you're at the right place!

While this blog is an account of my effort to make meals that are worthy of my husband, Drew's approval while simultaneously creating meals for myself that are effortless, delicious, and won't go straight to my stomach and thighs, I do not claim to be a chef or nutritionist. And although I share the lessons I've learned from my daily struggles with food, body image, and the desire to be a virtuous wife, I speak with no authority on these subjects. Everything I write is based on personal experience.

So who am I? I am first, a God-fearing woman and wife who persistently tries to enjoy life, love, and food according to the guidelines set by my Heavenly Father. In doing so, I have experienced an abundant life filled with love, adoration, mercy, joy, peace, and forgiveness. I have seen the blessings that come from sacrifice and service to others, and believe there is no better fulfillment than to fulfill the needs of others, especially when it's with encouragement, love, and food! So whether you are a first time visitor or a familiar face, feel free to just nibble or completely indulge yourself!

Bon Appétit,
Alex
